Modernism Week

Without a doubt, one of the busiest and most exciting times to visit Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley is during Modernism Week.  Held annually in February, this event showcases some of the highlights of our mid-century desert design, architecture and culture. This year, the Ocotillo Lodge was a featured attraction on the Modernism Week Tour, and will likely be included again in 2021.  Designed by architects, William Krisel and Dan Palmer, and built by the Alexanders, this famed celebrity retreat is sure to impress. To learn more about the Ocotillo Lodge’s mid-century design, please click here and read more about the vision that began in the 1950’s and continues today. In addition, you can play your stay in the heart of the action. If you want to stay at the Ocotillo Lodge, we provide access to luxury vacation rentals in the complex. If you have questions, or need assistance with reserving your bungalow, please call us at (760) 416-0678 or email wish@ocotillolodge.com.

Desert Trip is a Hit

For it’s debut year, the Desert Trip Music Festival has certainly brought a fantastic lineup.  Concert-goers seem exceedingly pleased with the venue and event thus far.  Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Roger Waters are just some of the headlining acts. Covering two exciting weekends in the Coachella Valley, this event was such a success that I am confident it will return for a second year next Fall. Accommodations at popular hotels and resort destinations were at a premium, and the Ocotillo Lodge was completely sold out for both weekends. Guests from around the globe descended upon Palm Springs, and the rest of the valley.
